On Saturday, the second round of qualifying for the Pro Late Model feature got under way and at the end, familiar winners to Pro Late Model racing found their way to the top.
Mike Bentley went for the weekend double, winning his heat to go along with Friday’s heat win and become the top qualifier. Jamie Cox finished second followed by Mike Wallace, Mat Box, 98, Dale Shaw and Justin Demelo.
In the second heat, Shawn Chenoweth sent Jason Shaw for a spin. Ryan Kimball picked up the win ahead of Andy Kamrath, Gary Elliott, Shaw, Adam Quarrie, Chenoweth, Bruce Rankin and Gord Shepherd.
In the third heat, Chris Ferguson would spin into the grass while leading. Behind him, Mark Watson went for a spin. Then later on in the heat, the 96 would drift up the track, pushing Chris Mitchell up into the wall. Mitchell would have to be toed off, but did make it back out for Monday’s feature. Watson took the win ahead of Dan McHattie, Bryan Mercer, the 96 and Ferguson.
With qualifying complete, all that’d be left for the Pro Late Models would be the 113 lap feature, which would be ran on Monday.
