After a week off due to rain, the action was back Saturday, June 8th at Peterborough Speedway.  The all-out thrill ride included the Battlefield Four Fun, Peterborough Hyundai Mini Stock, Moi Parry Spring Service Renegade Truck and Vanguard Self Storage Late Model divisions – along with the Ontario Legends – and didn’t stop until the night’s final checkered flag.

Ryan Oosterholt and Griffin Powell shared the Four Fun qualifying events.  Ryan Babin took a pair of Mini Stock checkered flags, while Oosterholt and Brandon Hannah were the other heat race winners.  Jack Dallin and Bill O’Hara took the Renegade Truck preliminary rounds, with Bryan Mercer grabbing a pair of Late Model heats and one each for Todd Delisle and Craig Graham.  Andy Warbutton picked-up 2 Ontario Legends qualifiers, while Wes Cuthbertson and Nicholas Ledson had one a piece.

As the feature race action took the green flag, Ryan Oosterholt continued his dominance of the Battlefield Four Fun division with the win.  The #79 machine took the lead on the 13thcircuit and held it ‘til the end of the event.  Chris Mulders took advantage of his second place starting spot in the Peterborough Hyundai Mini Stock feature and held-off a strong challenge from Oosterholt and Babin for the win.

In the Moi Parry Spring Service Renegade Truck ‘A’ main, a battle throughout the race distance between Jack Dallin and Bill O’Hara featured some excellent side-by-side racing, with O’Hara maintaining enough speed through the final turn to grab the win over Dallin.  The Ontario Legends also treated the fans to a nail-biter in their main event, as Nicholas Ledson moved from a 3rd place starting spot on a late race re-start to claim the win over Wes Cuthbertson and Dave Riopelle.

The most action of the night came during the Vanguard Self Storage Late Model feature tilt.  Front row starters Bryan Mercer and Todd Delisle got a great start on the initial green flag, with Mercer taking the top spot.  On a lap 8 yellow for a spin by Bryan Sudsbury, Mercer relinquished the lead and headed for the pits.  On the re-start, Cory Horner muscled his way around Delisle and took the lead.  The rough and tumble affair continued through the main event, until a green, white checkered re-start with Sudsbury and Craig Graham pacing the field.  Both drivers fought tooth and nail through the final circuit, with Graham taking his second win of the year, in a photo finish over the defending track champion and earned a trip to Dart Heating and Air Conditioning Victory Lane.
