Brandon McFerran battled hard throughout the 50 lap Autumn Colours Classic Feature at Peterborough Speedway to finish sixth.

McFerran started off the weekend by finishing third in his first heat on Friday night after starting third. Then on Saturday, he would finish fifth in his heat after starting in seventh. As a result of his qualifying effort, he would qualify 15th for the feature.

With rain on Sunday, the feature would be pushed to Monday. The action started right away on lap one when Doug Butler, who started second, got sideways and caught the wall, catching Chance Isherwood in the process. In the process, McFerran moved up four positions to 11th.

When the green flag flew for the restart, McFerran started to make his climb through the stacked field of Mini Stock drivers, moving up to eighth by lap five. On lap 12, Dean Curry headed down pit road with mechanical problems, allowing McFerran to move into seventh.  McFerran would slip to eighth after being passed by Tyler Junkin before the second caution at lap 17 for an incident involving Charlie Smith and Dan Britt.

After the restart, McFerran got himself back up to the seventh position with a pass on Dave Bailey. However, he would fall back to eighth on lap 38. Then on lap 39, he would have a big slide after racing three-wide with the lap car No. 63, resulting in him falling back to ninth after being passed by Warren Paxton. The third caution then flew at lap 40 for Cory Young spinning.

On the restart, Miles Tyson would have problems with his car, resulting in the fourth caution and McFerran moving up to eighth. The second restart went much cleaner and McFerran would move up to sixth by lap 43. However, battling hard for position, he would slip back to eighth on lap 46. Though he wouldn’t finish eighth as on the last lap, he would make a three-wide move on Bailey and the 17 to finish sixth.
