For the second time this year, Brandon McFerran would find victory lane in the Mini Stock feature action at Sunset Speedway.

He would start off the night by winning his first heat barely in front of the No. 33 of Warren Paxton.

In the second heat, McFerran was leading when contact with Paxton on lap six would result in McFerran going around. McFerran would restart at the back of the field, coming up through the field in the final four laps to finish second.

Come feature time, he would start in the 17th position and avoid trouble on lap two when Shawn Gerrior would get sideways beside him. The first caution would come out at lap four for Lucas Wolf spinning after getting into Tyler Johnston. By that point, McFerran was already up to the fourth position.

On the restart, McFerran got by both Johnston and Brendan Adams to move into the second spot behind Billy Swartzenburg. He would run second all the way till the second caution at lap six for Wendy Adams spinning.

On the restart, he would run side-by-side with Swatzenburg, clearing him on lap 12 at the halfway mark.

For the second half the feature, McFerran would dodge his way through lap traffic and hold Swatzenburg off to take the win.
