By Ashley McCubbin - Brian Love would narrowly escape a wreck and work his way through the field to come home with a 10th place feature finish for his ninth top 10 of 2012 in 10 feature starts this season.
The Barrie, Ontario native would finish sixth in the first heat after being spun by Eric Yorke on a restart. He’d back that up with a sixth place finish in the second heat.
When it came time for the feature, Love would narrowly escape a wreck on lap two to have his No. 04 Fox’s Bakery and Deli, Tire Depot Barrie, Hans-on Lawncare and Simcoe Auto Recyclers Civic up to the fourth position.
Following the restart, Love would drop out of the top five as he’d be passed by Terry Clodd and Rob Krystal. He would continue to race hard the next 23 laps, falling a couple more spots as the faster cars worked their way through the field. However, it’d still be a good solid night as he’d come home with a 10th place.
As a result, Love remains fifth in points, 68 points behind Warren Paxton for fourth.
