By: Ashley McCubbin/Sunset Informative --- For the first time in 12 features this season, Brian Love would score a top five finish as he would finish fourth.

The Barrie, Ontario driver would finish fourth and fifth in his heats.

In the feature, Love would start his No. 04 Fox’s Bakery and Deli, Tire Depot Barrie, Hans-on Lawncare and Simcoe Auto Recyclers Civic in the front half of the field. He would find himself in a three-wide battle with Dan Britt and Lisa deLeeuw for sixth on lap one. He run in the midst of three, four-wide action all throughout the beginning opening laps, running in seventh on lap five.

He’d be bumped back to eighth on lap 12, followed by Nicole Podewils passing him on lap 13, to bump him back to ninth. There would then be a caution at lap 16 for Gehrig Halday and Ken Townsend, bumping Love up a couple spots.

Love would get a good restart as he would be running fifth on lap 17, though a pass by Podewils at lap 21 would bump him back to sixth.

In the final four laps, Love would battle hard to regain the lost spots and cross the finish line in the fourth position.

As a result, he remains fifth in points, now 55 points behind Dan Britt for fourth.

Thanks to the fans for their support. We welcome you to join us once again at Sunset Speedway this Saturday night for another fun night of racing.
