Ashley McCubbin/Wilson Motorsports - After going for a season and a half without a top 10 finish, Brian Wilson Jr. is ready to start a hot streak as he scored his second straight top 10 finish on Saturday night when he finished ninth in the 30-lap Super Stock feature.
The Brampton, Ontario native would finish eighth in both of his heats.
In the feature, Wilson would start the No. 00 Assured Car and Truck Rental, Smurf's Towing, Canadian Home Renovations, Tufff Transportation, Gunk, Pete's Automotive, Stag Automotive, Terrier Excavating and Landscaping, and Scrap Car Towing Cutlas in the second position.
On the opening lap, he’d be passed by Mike Weeda, slipping back to third before the first caution on lap two for Nick Roth having a flat tire.
On the restart, he would continue to fall back, slipping out of the top five by the end of lap three. By lap 10, he was back to 10th, battling side-by-side with Weeda. He continue to run in the 10th position past halfway, keeping himself on the lead lap.
In the late stages of the feature, he’d make a successful pass to therefore come across the finish line in the ninth spot.
As a result, he currently sits 14th in points, now only 27 points out of 13th.
