Ashley McCubbin/Wilson Motorsports ---- On Saturday night at Sunset Speedway, Brian Wilson Jr. would run hard before a mechanical problem would put him into the outside turn two wall.

The Brampton, Ontario native would finish 12th in his first heat, followed by an eighth place finish in his second heat.

In the feature, Wilson would escape a lap one wreck in his No. 00 Assured Car and Truck Rental, Smurf's Towing, Canadian Home Renovations, Tufff Transportation, Gunk, Pete's Automotive, Stag Automotive, Terrier Excavating and Landscaping, and Scrap Car Towing Cutlas to run in the 17th position.

Wilson Jr. would fight the handling of the car and the field as he would run just outside the top 15 most of the event, running 16th under a lap 18 caution for Dan Archibald spinning Cayden Lapcevich.

Wilson Jr. would continue to run hard all the way till a lap 27 caution for an incident involving Lapcevich and Morrison.

On the restart is where the trouble would start as Wilson Jr. would be battling hard with a group in turns one and two, when the breakage would happen and put Wilson Jr. in the outside wall. The result would be front end damage for the Wilson Motorsports team.

He would not return to the race, finishing in the 19th position.

As a result, he remains 14th in points, now 38 points out of 13th.
