May 7, 2013 -  Delaware Speedway PR

Anticipation for the 2013 season is in high gear with Delaware Speedway set to open its doors for the first racing of the season this coming Saturday, May 11 at 2:00 pm. The racing lineup features the thrilling GAW Recycling Enduro series in a 150-lap main event as well as the wild Bone Stock Chaos Cars tearing up the track (and each other). Racing on opening day is presented by Whitworth Towing.

The Bone Stock Chaos Cars have taken off as the track s fastest growing division. With junkyard cars competing in Delaware s wildest format (disabled vehicles are left on the race track as obstacles to avoid) these daring drivers are eager to prove themselves on opening day. Pre-registration for the division shows that over half the drivers in competition this season are rookies. This means over half the field will be running in their first-ever event this Saturday with the largest-ever group of rookies seen at the speedway in recent years.

GAW Recycling Enduro competition takes on a new flavor this season with the introduction of A & B class racing. Although both types of cars run in the same main event, each class operates as a race within a race competing within itself for prizing and victory. B-class cars are vehicles which are considered to be completely stock, running as they would on the street. The A-class cars have had some modifications made either to engine or suspension.
