The Autumn Colors Classic. It’s the event that everybody wants to win. For some, they’ve had the privilege of winning it. For others, they’ve come so close but yet haven’t been able to yet.
However, to run well you must start well by qualifying well and staying outta trouble. Qualifying for the Four Fun feature kicked off on Sunday with some of the usual fast suspects finding themselves in victory lane.
The first heat didn’t start off well as Rob Gosse and the 3k would go around. Then on lap three, Jamie Horner would go for a spin. Jeff Scott won the race ahead of the 9, Kenny Ohno Sr., Nathan Mitchell, Ray Schroer, Jeff Forsey Jr., Jason Stewart, the 24, Gosse, Scott Simpson, the 12 and Horner.
The second heat saw Mark Lavalle pull off early while 2013 Peterborough Speedway Four Fun Champion Ryan Oosterholt took the win ahead of Joe Craven, Malcolm MacDonald, Brittney Lundy, Matthew VanDerBelt, the 66, Tiffany Vandebelt, Kenny Ohno Jr., the 42 and the 49x.
Qualifying continued on the Saturday, with features scheduled originally for the Sunday, but moved to Monday due to rain.
