For the second week in a row, Ken Roczen rode his Red Bull KTM bike to victory, this time in Anahiem, extending his points lead. Roczen would take the lead from Joey Sovatgy on lap one, after Sovatgy got the holeshot, and never looked back the rest of the night.

"Hard work pays off," the German said. "The track was really tricky, had its slippery spots."

After winning his second heat, Martin Davalos would move past Sovatgy on lap two for second and rode there the rest of the night, unable to catch Roczen.

"We busted our butt trying to get the bike dialed in," Davalos said.

Last year's champion Eli Tomac would finish third after falling back to seventh on the start.  He made the pass for third by Sovatgy on lap eight.

"I felt really good there," Tomac said. "I actually flinched on the start, hard to get a jump from there."

Kyle Cunningham and Jason Anderson rounded out the top five.

Roczen now leads Tomac by 20 points and Seely by 27 points.
