Maple Leaf Tour: Northern Nightmare and Monster Jam Invade Edmonton This Weekend

In continuing the 2012 Monster Jam Maple Leaf Tour, Northern Nightmare, Grabe Digger and four other trucks are set to invade the Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta.

Leading the charge, as stated above, is Northern Nightmare, which is driven by Cam McQueen. This year marks the debut year for the truck as its the first ever truck wholey dedicated to Canadian Monster Jam fans. In the four shows that McQueen has ran so far, he has three racing wins (all coming in London), three wheelie wins (all coming in London) and a freestyle victory (Washington). His accomplishments so far, along with past performances, have earned him a spot in the 2012 Monster Jam World Finals in March in Las Vegas. Last year, McQueen finished second in World Finals.

Joining McQueen in Alberta will be Team Grave Digger, which is celebrating their 30th Anniversary season. Rod Schmidt will be driving the truck this weekend as he enters his 15th season with the Grave Digger team. Schmidt has three victories so far this season - two freestyle wins (Washington) and a wheelie victory (Washington).

Scott Buetow driving Iron Man, who enters his second seaon in Monster Jam.

Charles Benns driving Monster Mutt Rottweiler, who has eleven wins this season - three wheelie, three racing, two donut contests and three freestyles

Paul Strong driving Martial Law, who enters his fourth season in Monster Jam.

Barry Parkin driving Western Renegade, who enters only his second event of the season.

There are three shows over the course of the weekend. The Friday show begins at 7:30pm EST. The Saturday afternoon show will begin at 2pm, with a pit party planned from 11:30am till 1pm. The Party in the Pits allow the fans to get up-and-close with the drivers and get autographs. Entry for the party includes an event ticket and pit pass, which pit passes are no longer available. The last show will be on Saturday night at 7:30pm. Tickets for all three events range from $25 to $50 for adults and $15 for children.
