Coming off a rain-out, there were high hopes that this weekend’s racing action at Sunset International Speedway would get in. However, the skies would open up during the second round of qualifying heats, canceling the races for the night.

In the first heat, Brian Wilson Jr. started sixth and finished sixth.

In the second heat, the Brampton, Ontario native started second and finished seventh.

Thanks to all the fans who came out during Fan Appreciation ceremonies as we appreciate your support. Also, thanks to Assured Car and Truck Rental, Smurf's Towing, Canadian Home Renovations, Tufff Transportation, Gunk, Pete's Automotive, Stag Automotive, Terrier Excavating and Landscaping, and Scrap Car Towing for their support.

With the night being a wash out due to all the heats not being ran, Wilson still sits 14th in points, one point out of 13th and 48 points out of the top 10.

Check out the team website at for photos from Fan Appreciation festivities and racing action. Special thanks to Candiss Everingham, Debbie Jo Zardo, Amanda Cutting and Kyle Moreau for photos. Also, thanks to Dan Little Jr., Race Time Radio and Eric Uprichard for some photos from last week’s M.R.E Pro Series round 1 action.

Wilson will be in action at Sunset Speedway this weekend on Sunday for round two of the McColl Pro Series. Regular points racing returns to Sunset Speedway on June 23rd so make sure to join us.
