Terry Woodley battled hard at Sunset Speedway on Saturday night to finish 17th in a highly competitive Mini Stock field.
With the car number being six, it seemed like six was the magic number to start the night. Woodley started off the night finishing sixth in both of his heats, before starting sixth in the feature. Although up against some of the top Mini Stock drivers in the province, including some drivers who aren’t Sunset regulars, Woodley quickly fell back in the pack, dropping down a lap on lap 12.
The first caution flew at lap 14 for an incident involving Lance Foster and Steve Belanger. Under caution, Woodley ran in the 20th position. In the next seven laps before the second caution flew, Woodley made his way up to the 18th position. When Halliday pitted for mechanical problems, that allowed Woodley to move into 17th.
Woodley then ran the last four laps of the season strong to finish 17th in the feature.
As a result of a successful season overall despite the late race incident involving the primary car, Woodley finished fifth in the points.
