On Saturday July 6th at Sunset Speedway, Tyler Johnston would come home with a hard fought 11th place finish.

He would start the night off by finishing ninth and seventh in his heats.

As a result of his current points position, he would start second in the feature, grabbing the lead on lap one from Lisa DeLeeuw. He would lead all the way till lap seven, when he would be passed by eventual feature winner Ken Townsend. He would drop back to third on lap nine after being passed by Steve Belanger, and back to fourth by lap 10 after being passed by Ben Melenhorst.

By lap 12 with the quicker cars making their way through the traffic, Johnston would be bumped back to the seventh position. He would continue to drop through the field, dropping back to ninth by lap 20.

In the final five laps, two more cars would get by Johnston, resulting in an 11th place feature finish.
