Entering his sophomore season at Sunset Speedway, Tyler Johnston opened up the season by finishing seventh in the feature on the opening night.
In the first heat, the Holland Landing, Ontario native finished in the third position, but the second place driver was disqualified so he was credited with second.
In the second heat, he finished second in after battling for the lead with Dan Britt.
By the first caution at lap three, the driver of the No. 07 Custom Copper Works, L S Masonry, Clean Up Green Up, Larry Wilsons Contracting, Home Innovations and Entra Civic ran in the eighth position.
However, by the end of the night, Johnston gained a position and finished seventh to cap off the night and now sits sixth in points, four points out of the top five.
