After coming close so many times, Will Hahn closed the deal and took home the victory on Saturday night at the Georgia Dome.
“After the heat race, I knew I could do it," he said. "It’s been a long time coming. I’ve been a long time Honda guy, and this is to repay all of them that have helped me. I wish my mom was here – I’ll see you soon and I love you.”
Hahn grabbed the holeshot and never looked back, leading all 15 laps.
Points leader Dean Wilson finished second as he held that spot all night long.
"I wanted to win it," Wilson said. "Straight up, Will was solid. At the beginning, I felt solid and felt like I had the energy to pass him. But I was trying to take my time, make no mistakes. We kind of stayed the same way the whole time. Kind of mad, but happy for Will. First wins are always good."
Marvin Musquin rounded out the podium after passing Blake Wharton on lap three.
"First of all, the track was really good today, better than last week," he said. "The track was good – I liked it. The track was really technical. Practice was good; was fastest. Tonight, was so-so. My start was top five, took a little time to pass Wharton and then couldn’t find Wilson. I’ll try to come back stronger next weekend and keep working hard."
Wharton finished fourth, followed by Jeremy Martin. Martin cracked the top five on lap six with a pass on Justin Hill.
Wilson leads the points, two over Hahn, as the Supercross East Lites riders head to St. Louis.
