While many drivers have been able to make easy rounds for them in the NASCAR post-season via playoff points, that isn’t the case in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoor Truck Series standings. The difference from Brett Moffitt in first to Todd Gilliland in 10th in 42 points – less than what can be earned in a race should you compare worst day to perfection.
If any of these drivers want to advance, performance will be necessary over the course of the next two events at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway. Here’s a glance at each driver and how they sit right now.

1. Brett Moffitt +36
Although Brett Moffitt has not won a race this year, he has been the most consistent with eight top-five’s and 12 top-10’s, including seven straight top-10’s entering Las Vegas this weekend. He led 117 laps at Bristol Motor Speedway en route to placing second to his GMS Racing teammate Sam Mayer.
He has three top-10’s in five starts at Las Vegas, including a runner-up last season. At Talladega, he has placed 17th and fourth in two events.
2. Sheldon Creed +28
Even though he has eight top-10’s this season, he has failed to score one in the last three races since winning at Gateway. A glance through the year, and consistency has not been a strong suit for Creed.
He has finished in the top-10 in each of his previous starts at Las Vegas, including a fourth last fall. At Talladega, he placed ninth in his lone start.
3. Zane Smith +25

Smith’s season match that of his teammate in Creed, with consistency being something that has not been found. For the driver of the No. 21, he has failed to score a top-10 in the last three events since a seventh at Gateway, despite posting two wins and nine top-10’s on the year.
He placed sixth in his first appearance at Las Vegas, and has yet to run at Truck Series event at Talladega.
4. Grant Enfinger +24
Enfinger could be someone to watch, entering Las Vegas with four straight top-eight finishes including the victory at Richmond Raceway. In total, he has three wins and 10 top-10’s on the year.
He has four top-10’s in eight starts at Las Vegas, highlighted by a victory in 2018. He has also won at Talladega (in 2016), while scoring three top-10’s in six races.
5. Tyler Anrkum +19
While he has eight top-10’s on the year, Ankrum only has five top-10’s in the last nine races ran, highlighting the previous noted inconsistency of the young stars at GMS Racing.
He has finished 11th in both of his previous starts at Las Vegas, while placing seventh in his lone trip to Talladega.
6. Matt Crafton +13

The veteran returned to victory lane this season at Kansas, and since then has posted three top-five’s and three finishes outside of the top-10 in the seven events since. He enters this weekend at Las Vegas after placing 10th at Bristol,
He has 13 top-10’s in 22 previous events at Las Vegas, including a top-five in three of the last five. At Talladega, he has just five top-10’s in 14 races, but one of those was eighth last season.
7. Ben Rhodes +6
While scoring 11 top-10’s in 17 races this year, he only has three in the past seven events, including a 13th at Bristol.
He has five top-10’s in seven events at Las Vegas including a fifth last year, but has yet to post a top-10 at Talladega in his previous four attempts.
8. Austin Hill +2
Although he entered the playoffs as one of the favorites following a win and 14 top-10’s, he has sunk to the bottom of the leaderboard after placing 25th at Bristol following contact on-track.
He has scored a win and a third in the past two trips to Las Vegas, while scoring a pair of top-10’s in three starts at Talladega.
9. Christian Eckes -2

Although speed has been shown with seven top-10’s, inconsistency and an average finish of 12.8 showcase what has been this year for Eckes. It’s also worth noting he has finished the past two races outside of the top-10 since his fifth at Darlington Raceway.
He has finished third and 23rd in his pair of starts at Las Vegas, and has yet to run a Truck race at Talladega.
10. Todd Gilliland -8
The past two weeks have not gone well, with two finishes outside of the top-13 after finishing seventh at Darlington. There’s been glimpses of speed, though, with nine top-10’s on the year.
Gilliland has three top-10’s in four previous starts at Las Vegas to go with a 20th and runner-up at Talladega.
