There are a lot of things to come for the 2024 NASCAR Canada Series season beyond a simple name change. One of the biggest being a new schedule layout with a couple date swaps, new tracks, and a new host for the finale. Among those, everyone was surprised to learn that the Toronto Exhibition Place street course will not return.
With the NTT IndyCar Series having to move the date a week later than normal due to the Summer Olympics on NBC Sports, it now falls the same weekend that NASCAR Canada Series makes their annual western swing. Was that the pure motivation behind the change, or was there more?
It will be heartbreaking to many fans when it comes time to head down to Toronto in July to not have the stock cars on the streets alongside the stars of the open-wheel series. It was the perfect mix of both worlds, in seeing the chaos of NASCAR alongside the strategy and precise ability of the NTT IndyCar Series.
It seems perfect to honor the occasion by looking back through some images taken by News From The Pits over the years at this very event.
