By: Ashley McCubbin

Jack Wood will make the move to McAnally-Hilgemann Racing in 2024, set to chase the ARCA Menards Series West Championship alongside 14 races in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Wood spent last season with Kyle Busch Motorsports, scoring two top-10’s in 13 starts while teammate Chase Prudy picked up three top-five’s and 11 top-10’s. Alongside no top-10’s in 2022 with GMS Racing, it’s safe to say that this may be the make or break campaign coming up right here. After all, we established MHR’s ability to run well courtesy of Christian Eckes ranking fifth in the standings.

There is a new team set to join the grid in 2024 named Faction46, owned by Lane Moore with Thad Moffitt behind the wheel. Famously known as Richard Petty’s grandson, he will make his move into one of the NASCAR top-tier ranks after six seasons of ARCA Menards Series competition. Through 45 races, he has been able to score nine top-five’s and 26 top-10’s, ranking fourth at the end of the 2021 campaign. As for the team, you may wonder what performance they can bring to the table being new – except keep in mind they have aligned themselves with Niece Motorsports. As already established, they can get the job done, as evident by Carson Hocevar making the Championship 4 with four wins and 11 top-five’s.

#11: Layne Riggs, Kaulig Racing, Infinity Communications Group Chevrolet Camaro

With 2022 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Champion Zane Smith moving to the NASCAR Cup Series with Spire Motorsports, it opens up his seat at Front Row Motorsports to be filled by Layne Riggs. Riggs is no stranger to success, as he was crowned the 2023 NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Champion. He also established himself in the Truck Series already, placing third in one of his three appearances last season. Now combined with a team that won a pair of races last season, it should be a successful partnership.

As GMS Racing closes their door, Grant Enfinger will find himself reunited with a previous team as he joins CR7 Motorsports for the full schedule. The 2023 Championship 4 contender ran nine races for Codie Rohrbaugh in 2021 when he was in-between teams, scoring three top-10’s with a best finish of fourth at Circuit of the Americas. While the team is not known for being super strong, it will be interesting to see whether they become a contender moving forward as Enfinger has brought over employees from GMS, including Michael Shelton and Jeff Stankiewicz. Let’s not forget that Stankiewicz and Enfinger won an ARCA title together in 2015. Additionally, the team has formed an alliance with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing.
