Corey Day is just supposed to be getting his feet wet behind the wheel of a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series entry, but he is doing it in style. He will lead the field to green for Friday night’s Ecosave 200 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Day put his No. 7 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Silverado on the pole for his fifth career start in the series. He made four appearances last year with a best result of 16th at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Day is slated to run numerous NASCAR Xfinity Series and Truck Series events in 2025, as well as select ARCA Menards Series races as he gets his feet wet in full-bodied racecars. He enters the NASCAR realm after experiencing success in Sprint Car competition, currently highly touted by Kyle Larson. The compliments led to Day being signed to a developmental contract with Hendrick Motorsports.
