Richard Childress Racing may have won the first three races of the season, but JR Motorsports is not backing down yet.

The defending series championship organization swept the top-three spots in qualifying for Saturday’s The LiUNA! event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Sammy Smith will lead the field to green ahead of Carson Kvapil and Connor Zilisch.

Smith currently ranks fifth in the series standings after the first three races of the season, with a best finish of fourth at Atlanta Motor Speedway. While Joe Gibbs Racing’s Aric Almirola picked up the win last weekend at Circuit of the Americas, JRM did have Justin Allgaier place fifth.
