MARKHAM, Ontario — Some things go as planned – and sometimes they do not. Unfortunately, the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham has started off on a slow note.

Due to track preparations taking longer than event planners had organized, the track was not ready as planned for the practice and qualifying on the schedule for Friday, August 14.

NTT IndyCar Series officials have pushed their first practice to Saturday, which will now feature a pair of sessions before qualifying. NASCAR Canada Series was scheduled to qualify and practice on Friday, but will now do so in the morning before the race.

The full schedule for the day will be released by event officials once it is finalized.
