MARKHAM, Ontario —- It may be a new track for everybody, but a familiar face will lead the field to the green flag on Saturday afternoon.

Marc Antoine-Camirand continues to show the way as he topped the combined practice and qualifying session for the NASCAR Canada Series Markham 125 as part of the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham weekend. The session was originally scheduled for Friday afternoon, but was postponed to Saturday morning due to the track having not cleared safety by NTT IndyCar Series officials.

The current series points leader, Camirand, topped the session with a lap of one minute and 34.716 seconds, about two tenths faster than his next competitor on the grid.

Tyler Gonzalez was second quickest in his second appearance with the series ahead of L.P. Dumoulin, Kevin Lacroix, and Simon Charbonneau.

Alex Taglani ranked sixth on the board in front of Alex Guenette, Andrew Rangers, Sam Fellows, and Connor Bell.

The Markham 125 is scheduled to take place on Saturday at 4:45 pm EST.
