The NASCAR Canada Series returned to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) on Saturday for the penultimate event of the 2026 season, as part of the Labour Day Weekend Sprints.

Five minutes into the practice session, Jared Odrick in the No. 24 Black Underwear/Cathcart Trucking/BC RaceCars Ford made contact with the wall, bringing out a full-course yellow. The field returned to green at the 15-minute mark, with the fastest lap changing hands as the session progressed. Andrew Ranger then established himself at the top of the leaderboard in the No. 27 GM Paillé/Chevrolet Canada Chevrolet.

At the 40-minute mark, Alex Labbé, who stepped in for Matthew Scannell behind the wheel of the No. 99 Main Street Logistics/Sierra Storage Dodge for practice, moved to the top of the leaderboard. Shortly after setting the fastest lap, Labbé’s car stalled on track, bringing out another full-course yellow. The session returned to green at the 47-minute mark, with Labbé ultimately holding on to the fastest time with a lap of 1:24.014.

Scannell will return to the No. 99 for the remainder of the weekend. As a result of the driver change following practice, he will start from the rear of the field for qualifying.

Labbé was followed by Ranger in second, championship leader Marc-Antoine Camirand in the No. 96 GM Paillé/Chevrolet Canada Chevrolet in third, Connor Bell in the No. 3 Dymon/Sangsin Brake/HGC/Fast Eddie Chevrolet in fourth, and Kyle Steckly in the No. 22 Sierra Excavating/APC/Murphy MPS/MBS Chevrolet rounding out the top five.

With practice complete, the field will return to the track for qualifying at 4:45 p.m. ET, where the starting grid for the WeatherTech 200 will be determined.
