Tommy Joe Martins suffered a mechanical issue on Saturday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway en route to finishing 35th, and things just got a little worse.

NASCAR announced on Tuesday that crew chief Daniel Johnson has been suspended for the next NASCAR Xfinity Series points event following the loss of the rear axle. The mechanical failure was a violation of Section 12.5.2.7.4e of the NASCAR Rule Book, under “Loss or separation of improperly installed rear axle.”

Martins Motorsports announced that Kevin Robolledo will serve as the crew chief for Thursday’s Shady Rays 300 at Kentucky Speedway.

Additionally, NASCAR announced that Austin Cindric’s crew chief Brian WIlson was fined $5,000 for having a lug nut loose following the event.
